Tyvek

 

I wanted to try melting tyvek after the plastic melting in project 1.  I painted the tyvek sheet first using acrylics and once dry, I heated the iron and then proceeded to hover the iron over the sheet.  Nothing much was happening and I nearly gave up (out of desperation, I tried ironing the edge which was a big mistake as it stuck to the iron😕).  I google it and it suggested laying the sheet between baking parchment.  This made much more sense as you can get a lot closer with the iron without actually  putting pressure on from the iron.  I think I melted it a bit too much in places as it almost disintegrated,but overall, I think it’s pretty good for a first try.
